In the dying days of WWII, as American forces pushed through the Philippines they executed one of the most daring and masterful raids of the war. Held within the Los Banos prison camp were over 2,000 starving men, women and children, guarded by 250 Japanese soldiers. A cadre of 130 Paratroopers surprised the guards and rescued the POWs, as chronicled here. Illustrated, some color.
