She was the most notorious Jewish woman in the Roman Empire--multiple marriages, rumors of incestuous relations, and her scandalous liaison with Titus, the Roman general and emperor-to-be. This reputation, however, does not paint a complete portrait of Berenice as she also became an influential player in Roman conquest and politics.
