Located in Mineral Wells, Camp Wolters was the U.S. Army's largest Infantry Replacement Training Center during WWII. From 1941 to 1946, the camp trained an estimated 250,000 soldiers. The camp also held German POW's and brought a cascade of changes to its corner of Texas. Illus.
