During WWII, many German foundries were destroyed, along with all their records, catalogs, patterns, and molds. Briggs spent four years researching the origin of the pans in Germany, France, and the Czech Republic, and has included select images, dimensions, key notable characteristics, and baking volumes for more than 100 examples.
