FRIDA KAHLO: Art Masters

Kahlo's art explores questions of identity and culture as well as physical and psychological suffering. Her lifelong ill health and turbulent marriage both motivated and limited her, a contradiction that lies behind many of her deeply intimate self-portraits. She forged her own visual language, rooted in the native Mexican traditions she embraced.
