HARD BROKE: Asymmetric Warfare, Great Power Competition, and Institutional Paralysis

Based on first-hand experience encompassing multiple combat deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa, this work addresses the threat of a new kind of asymmetric warfare, improvised explosive devices (IED), and the future of combat and offers a "counter-IED playbook".
