SOVIET ARTILLERY TRACTORS OF WORLD WAR II

By the German Invasion in 1941, the Red Army had almost 45,000 tracked military tractors in service. Desperate losses in the early months saw civil tractors drafted into military service. These vehicles are documented here with over 700 photographs of the various machines that towed the Red Army from Moscow to the streets of Berlin.
