Novel. A sociopolitical commentary originally published in 1996, the battle over illegal immigration is played out between the Mossbachers and the Rincons, the latter illegal Mexican immigrants, who are trying to achieve their version of the American Dream, while the Mossbachers are trying to protect theirs.
